Question what the hell happened?

Some time ago I bought a SL-1210 to join my pair of CDJ-100s. I bought them used so they already came perfectly setup to fulfil my needs, so I have no knowledge of how to setup a turntable. Anyways...
So I was in the middle of a good set when I made a backspin. Afterwards I noticed that the needle started jumping and went directly to the end of the track. I know this has happened to all of you before, but now I can't play any records 'cos as soon as I put tht needle on it, it slides all the way to the end of the record. What's wrong? I've messed up with all the settings lol so now I think I'll have to setup it from scratch. I know anti-skating is better at 0 but what about the rest? help me!

Snapped/bent sylus is more than likely the cause

Incorrect weight also could do that

i would have to agree.. most likely a broken stylus. also, when decks are setup properly, the needle shouldnt move the center of the platter.. if on record with no grooves (a single sided pressed vinyl, use the back) the needle should remain in the same spot. this reduces volume differences between the left and right.

check your stylus anyway, most likely is the problem

Are you absolutely sure this is the correct behavior? Even with the anti-skate set to 3 on mine (the max), it still moves towards the center on the unpressed side of a single-sided vinyl.

I'm using an Ortofon Concorde Scratch. As much as I try new configurations, the sound quality is always very bad with a distorted bass and fucked-up treble/mid, and it isn't any stable for cueing.. sometimes it can play for a short amount of time (like 40 seconds) and then it either remains on that spot, or goes way forward.. and if I backcue, it goes crazy. So the problem really is with the stylus ay?
Does that happen often with backspins?
