Loooooooooong story…….

My husband and I bought our house last year, nice home, quiet street, good neighborhood, school and shopping nearby, almost perfect, except for one neighbor. He has this enormous dog, it’s as big as a bear (it’s a Newfoundland, I think) and every day that dog would pick our yard to poop on. I talked to the neighbor, really politely, and asked that he keep his dog out of our yard or scoop up the poop. He said sure, not a problem. So for like a couple weeks we had no doggy deposits, until today.
I’m out cutting the grass, I got my mp3 player on listening to some chembros and my husband is on the ladder, cleaning out the rain gutters. He starts waving his arms in the air and I look up but I can’t hear him. I’m still walking along guiding the lawnmower. Then I hit it. THE BIGGEST PILE OF DOG SHIT YOU EVER SAW!!!!! That dog musta been saving it up for a week. The lawnmower went over it and the shit flew out of the discharge chute, hit the house, the car, even on me! I was soooooo mad, I wanted to bust something!
I know its not the dog’s fault, it’s the owner, he is the stupid one, but I was really ready to strangle that dog!! Only one problem, the mutt is bigger than me!!!
We thought about fencing the yard but I love it like it is, I hate feeling like I’m in prison. I called the animal control office, but the dog is licensed and they can’t do anything unless they ‘catch him in the act’, like I supposed to wait around until he sneaks into the yard and squats before I call them again, cheesh!!
So what do I do? Any suggestions???? I could use some good ideas. I don’t want to get into trouble, though. TIA

one resort is getting an ultrasonic pest repeller we sell them at work .... hell if you call me I can get you a cheap price on them they go for like 80 I could sell to you for 20 who knows maybe even send it out at no charge ( it works wonders against dogs .... and in case you asked NO that is not the primary function of my job ( pest repellers ) )

Ur hubby looks like Tony Soprano and u live in New Jersy, why dont have the owner or the dog "clipped".

Alternative solution, pee around your lawn to mark your territory.

It must suck to get hit with dog shit

Be a nice neighbor and purchase your neighbor one of those "invisible" fence things for Christmas. Then threaten them that you'll set their house on fire if they don't use it.

sprinkle pepper where the dog is likely to go, they cant stand the stuff.

Now most ppl know i got a gorgeous lil dog, his poop aint too bad in the garden, we clean it up as soon as he does it, or in winter leave it to freeze overnight, but when we walk him he does the sloppiest ones ever, which if possible i dont pick up but my mum does sometimes, if it's not in a place ppl will go like a grass verge or something i tend to leave it cos the thought of picking it up makes me wanna puke

install some sprinklers on ur lawn

also have a trigger for the sprinklers, u know the movement kind...so when the dog comes near, woosh! sprinklers spit out water or horrible acid shit etc

or just invest on a cheap bb gun and snipe its ass when it shits on ur lawn
