this chick was rude to my boyfriend about referring to california as cali and said that people from CA dont like it being called cali. is this true?

it doesnt bother me at all..its no biggie

I've never heard someone from California refer to the state as Cali, but it doesn't bother me at all. Some people are just nit-picky!

I guess it's like calling NYC "The Big Apple". If you are in a particularly bad mood that day, it might bother you...

haha, well if your a tourist or hiphop freak, saying "Cali" is the same thing. Here in southern California, "SoCal" is used by many people and even the media.

i dont prefer to think of it as cali, i think of california as two seperate areas: norcal and socal.
