I own the V900s and I love them. I've used them for over three years and they're still working great. If you have the money I'd say go for them. I prefer them over the V7506, V600s, V700s, HDJ-1000s. I haven't used the Sennheisers so I don't know how those compare but the V900s are wonderful. I say go for them if you have the money.

Oh, I had the V900s. I don't care much for them. Why does Sony design their current V-series headphones in their consumer line to deliver WAY boomy mid-bass and hardly any treble whatsoever? And strangely, for all their bloat in the mid-bass through lower-midrange region, the Sony V900s, V700DJs and V600s don't extend all that deeply in the bass! Those Sony cans are all very unbalanced and way too dark in the sound presentation (with all EQ settings on the equipment set to "0" or "FLAT"), no matter which equipment I tried them on. Furthermore, I've found the V900s to only sound decent on gutless portable players without an amp, but extremely muddy at normal listening levels on anything that's bigger and more powerful - because Sony had intentionally overboosted the low-end on those very-low-impedance (24-ohm) headphones in order to compensate for the relentlessly low current-delivery (amperage-output) capability of modern portable gear.
