because it is dance music, and very high quality dance music as well that happens to be pop. those producers have more money and resources, their production quality is usually better than 99.999% of trance out there. and i'm talking about Dre and the Neptunes, which are electronic dance music producers whether you like it or not (their music is 'danceable' and 'electronically' produced). whether their end product is more or less art is another topic. and i'm strictly talking about production merits, i don't have anything to say about the singers.
