Socket A motherboards and ATI video cards

Hey guys I'm a little confused so if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated...

I was looking at some nForce2 motherboards (both ASUS and MSI) and they say the AGP slot only operates at 1.5V, but then on ATI's site it says

"compatible with AGP 4X (1.5V), 8X (0.8v) or Universal AGP 3.0 bus configuration (4X/8X)."

So does that mean an ATI card on one of those motherboards would be running at AGP 4X and not at 8X?
Thanks for any help!

Carefull with the nVidia cards and ASUS motherboards... they sometimes have the infinite loop problem (pain in the arse). Maybe they fixed it now... not sure.

Most motherboards these days let you adjust the voltage of the agp slot. The way to tell is that they will have a gray sliding thing on the right side of the AGP slot.
