Thumbs up

Depends on the melody. For instance Veracocha - Carte Blanche or Silent Harmony - Save The Whales would be totally ruined with vocal inserts. Then again, Delerium's Silence would be nothing without Sarah McLachlan's EXCELLENT voice. Anyway, I like most tracks which have good vocals (female). Male vocals sound usually pretty bad... dunno why though.
Thumbs up here I guess.

vocals....yum

Sometimes vocals have their place, other times they can be annoying, and would sound better somewhere else. There is nothing better however, then hearing an absolutely sick vocal in peak hours of a party....one that slows down the crowd, and gets you ready to blastoff again!

hehe

Peace,
Steve

agree with ilive4trance

a good example of male vocals in trance
Faithless - God is a DJ
mm...mesmerizing

but overall Female Vocals (Jan Johnston is EVERYWHERE!) do seem like they are popping up here and there

i remember this same topic from about 2 weeks ago...

yes, sometimes i like some (female) vocals in trancesongs
they really can add something to the song

for example, milk inc
(veryvery commercial... but quite good)

Female vocals sometimes make a song good, but that's not always true. Mostly I like music with none, or few vocals. If vocals are used I prefer sampled and edited ones.

Funnily enough, I have a trance Synnergy combining Carte Blanche and Billy Ray Martin - Loving Arms..

"Billy Ray Martin vs Veracocha - Your Loving Carte Blanche"

and it's actually very cool!

I think it all really depends on the song. Some songs like BT - Dreaming work well with vocals... i couldn't imagina how it could sound without them. But some songs just has those annoying vocals in them that make no sense at all and ruin the whole song. Personally I prefer songs with some vocals, but not throughout the whole song.

Exclamation

vocals suck...
except for an occacional song (like Delerium - the Silence, NOT THE F*CKED UP COMMERCIAL VERSION, which totally screwed up the entire song for me)
