String section in "Capetown - Phoenix Tears" ... ?
Very good use of strings in the breakdown of Phoenix Tears - I was wondering if anyone knew the story behind it. Did L-vee compose the arrangement himself? Or did it come from somewhere else [a movie prehaps?] - or maybe he got someone to write the score for him, if so, who?
It's perfect for a movie scene - it's got a soundtrack harmonic feel to it.
The rest of the track is amazing too. Nice and simple flow - the overall build up has a mysterious mood to it.

Solely based on the quality of L-vee's other compostions, I would say he made it himself. He is a very skilled composer.

If he did compose the breakdown [which is probably so], then indeed, a VERY VERY gifted composer L-vee is!
I just ordered the vinyl, so there should be some notes/info on it that I can check up on.

Try Capetown - Touch the Sky, Talk to the Stars - it's similar but better, imo.

It seems that this "Touch the Sky, Talk to the Stars" is popular and overall better. I haven't heard it yet, but I will try and get my hands on it! Cheers mate.

Yeah, "Touch the Sky, Talk to the Stars" is a beautiful song. One of L-Vee's best for sure. The orchestrated part in that smashes the one in the Capetown tune, but they're still both quite good.
