how can i find out if a picture is copywritten? if i were to put the design on a businesscard and it is copywritten do i have to pay a fee or i cant do it period?

in response however, everything is in a way copyrighten without the expressed consent of the author to use its work. where did u get this picture from? it'll depend on the source ..

you have to assume that every picture is copywrighted unless it is clearly stated that its royalty free. You then have to find the copywright holder and ask for permission then give back credit ($ or his name on it etc.)

ok lets say this design was found on a webpage.. a very crappy design but useable...its also a drawing of an old sculpture located hrmm i dunno but on a building proly somewhere in europe
