you can use your own ftp, but you are gonna be severly taxing your upload, which is prob. capped. if you are on a std. cable modem, you will prob. be limited to 30k/sec up or something like that, which will make about a 30 - 60 minute dl as long as nobody else tries to dl. if you already have an ftp setup on your computer, just link to it like:
