im currently working on a Dj program in Visual Basic where u can mix live with a pair of cd decks... its all cuming together well and i have all the code... but i just cant seem to get the pitch to change without first pausingand stuttering... ive researched this for months and im about to give up, but first ill try a long shot and ask here for anybody that knows anything about VB to help...

it all works... its just the way im playing sound dunt allow me to change pitch smoothly... ive had a few drinks so sorry if this dunt make sense bet here goes...

theres two ways i know to play mp3s through vb... using an api call called MCISendstring, and direct x... both these ways that im trying dont change the pitch smoothly at all... i know it can be done cos ive seen it... i just need to know the right api calls to do it.

know anything about the deepest darkest bowels of windows api? (or direct x for that matter?)

So, this isn't actually a VB question at all? More a DX or WinAPI question?

I'd suggest you post on a programming board, dunno any off the top of my head though.
