Who would have ever expected to hear Trance being pumped out in the Bohem Lounge! And how good was it! I would normally get busted for lurking in this forum but after having such a great time last night I needed to come out and post.

Our night started when my wife and I rocked on down to GAS for Halcyon:Summer. After being greeted by Wade in that smashing lifesaver outfit we knew that we were safe from any mishaps and that we would all be resuscitated throughout the night if required. Nice outfits fellas and I had to apologise to Wade for not recognising him straight away in that cute hat. I'm sure you didn’t pick that one up in Thailand. Was good to catch up with you again mate. We headed downstairs to hear Adam Jace playing a veeery nice proggy set. The crowd was only small but starting to build but it was obvious that the sound system was having a mind of its own. Cam came on and the system karked it even more. There were blokes running around everywhere trying to sort the problem and after about 30 mins they decided to pull the plug and send us all upstairs to Bohem. I heard lots saying things like “I hope we can hear some Trance up there”.

Well, we were greeted to some Breaks and stuff which sounded OK but that wasn’t what we came to hear. We were up the back wondering what was going to happen next when some “real” dance music started playing. Breaks got booted and Trance was up! Cam had found a new temporary home with the decks sitting up on the piano, a tight sound system and later on some snazzy little lasers. We were all up and dancing to some great music. I loved the intimacy of it all with everyone being able to be as close as they wanted to be to the DJ. We thought Cam played and awesome set and what impressed us most was that he was able to vary his style to suit the two groups of punters who enjoy vastly different kinds of music. And the Breaks peeps were lovin' it! OK, so we’re a little biased, but it’s fine for a Mum & Dad to get just a little carried away now and then isn't it. I can’t remember the last time we had so much fun on a dance floor and it was made that much better alongside some TA’s and other friendly peeps who came up to say hi and get some pics. Was great to catch up with Helen again – you’re looking great mate. And good to meet Lisa for the first time. We should send your Dad some pics and get him along the next Halcyon night. Caught a glimpse of Rachel on the run as well as a few others whom I only recognise faces. Thanx to you all for making it such a great night. I have a lousy memory for tunes but at my age I can be forgiven. Some that stay in my mind but not in any order were:

I did try and get as many people as I could downstairs however it just wasn't enough.

To all the people that made it round to our place, it was cool to keep the party going, had a great time, really enjoyed talking to Lisa and Helen!

Had a ball last night was great to chat to you all even though it wasnt for long.

unfortunate the system downstairs wasnt going well, i actually realised the effects/filter non the mixer was still on like 2mins into my opening track, thats why it may have been all bass at the beggining.

upstaits was different but very intimate and just great fun, atmosphere was better and i would love to play there again.... people all around you its great!

was weird to be moving mid set, ppl see me running upstairs while my tracks still playing saying wtf.... hahaha

didnt bring many progish records so was difficult to bring the mood up from the breaks guys. jace's set rocked from what i heard, i only caught the last 30min but it was awsome.

well thats basically the idea of it. was pretty dark there so i ended up playign the wrong mix of synaesthesia.... im like "oh shit" but yeah was damn fun, i didnt expect that big a reaction when i dropped for an angel!! that got me pumped.

was good to chat to you all, helen, sid, wade, jace, rach, faz, lisa, emma, rob, d&m, hugo and all ive forgot to mention.

Had a good night . Was great to catch up with everyone again.
Music was superb all night.
Really enjoyed dancing up there in Bohem, was a nice change.

Both my trance dodging mate and myself had a great night.

When Cam dropped For an Angel some guy next to me asked,
"Why is everyone screaming?"


When I came down to the trance room I subconciously noticed something didn't seem quite right. Sound issues would explain it.
