there is a HUGE difference between the 800 and the 100.
IMO, if you only going to spin CDs, go for the 800's. the main difference
comes in the jogwheel. on the 100 its just a simple jogwheel to search
with, on the 800 its a vinyl emulator, which allows you to scratch, etc,
and basically manipulate the track as if it were on vinyl (or close enough
at least).
also the 800 has a hotcue sampler and looping functions, and allows
memory stick access to save loop points, samples, etc.
finally, from the 800 to the 1000 (or its newer version, the 1000Mk2,
which only has a cosmetic difference with its original) are only a few
functions you dont really NEED, basically its an 800 on steroids. but
the jogwheel and main operation is exactly the same, so youll be more
than happy with the 800s and be able to use the 1000s easily because
of it.
check out pioneerprodj.com for technical information and even videos on each of their products. great site.
my recomendation is to go with 800s and that vestax mixer.
