CD decks work much in the same way as vinyl turns. You use a pitch slider to beatmatch. However, most cd decks allow you to choose a cue point (or points) so instead of having to find the cue point every time like you do with vinyl, you can just set that point with the cue button. Then, you can always get back to that same cue point at any time just by hitting the cue button.
Use that $1100 and get a CDJ1000MK2 or a Denon S5000. Look into those two and choose between which one you like better. Then save some more money and get another one.
I prefer the CDJ, but that's just me as other people like the Denon more.
