can anyone give me a good place to start??
all the kicks i find on the net don't have the same PUNCH as the ones in released produtions.

Just take a normal 909 kick put a compressor between redrum kick channel and mixer, also a distortion and a eq to rol off low end enable the eq on the mixer and cut the Hi almost al the way down. Now play with the compressor to get a sound you like.

Along with layering of kicks, alot of these tracks are professionally mixed and mastered using expensive current and vintage outboard processors. You're not going to duplicate a sound like that from Reason coming straight off a computer.
