I STRONGLY recommend you take the 45 minute drive to San Francisco on March 19th to hear Gabriel & Dresden @ 1015. Was a huge blast in January...they have a residency...hope they do a 5+ hour set again!
I can try to see if anything is going on at the Spy Club in San Jose that Friday, but trust me...nothing will touch the vibe G&D will bring....Spy Club doesn't get good stuff too often, but it'll get a Donald Glaude or say Christopher Lawrence every once in awhile...but he's playing there on Feb 14, so March is probably too early for him to return.
Most stuff happens up here in SF....can keep an eye on this thread as I keep it updated.
Might be a special thing or two happening during that week here because of WMC being the week before and all the DJs being in the US.
awesome, dunno what we're gonna have for transportation, so I'll have to see what I can do. I'm not especially a big fan of G&D, but it would certainly be a good nite. thanks for the reply!

1. They didn't play any filler tracks that I can recall. All top-notch tracks played. Dunno what you are talking about.
2. True, their mixing isn't the best. Critique most DJs, and you will find some issue with their mixing (or something else)...but, what they know how to bring is a vibe. 1015 had an insane vibe when they played there in January...everyone was just having so much fun...if you come to a club with the mission of being overly critical of a set, you are going to have many nights you feel are boring or whatever. I fell into this trap and still am working my way out of it and now I am finding myself having fun to DJs I would typically go in and just overly analyze.
I can say that dave and josh can have a night of flawless mixing. They played for almost 3 hours opening to Tiesto in October and I nor anyone can remember one bad mix...they blew a lot of people away that night...was great.

Man i was there in oct also and yes they were good that night. I been goin to 1015 for the last 6 years and that wasn't even close to be an "insane vibe". Maybe you were standing up front or something but i know when there's an insane vibe there. Hell i don't think they even open the upstair room that night. Anyway, i think they're excellent producers and still a big fan but that night their mixing sounded amateur. Its my opinion and you have yours
