A. Compatibility.
The Usb driver works only in kernel version 2.4 series.
Please look
For the pcmcia driver see the PCMCIA_README in the
setup directory.
B. Installation Procedure
- Unpack the ATMEL_linux_drivers.tgz package (anywhere
you like).
# tar xzvf ATMEL_linux_drivers.tgz
- In the setup directory run:
# make all
if you need only one driver (pci, pcmcia or usb) go to
the setup directory and run:
# make pci (for 506 pci card)
or
# make pcmcia (for 502A, 504, (RFMD, revD, revE pcmcia cards)
or
# make usb (for 503A (rfmd and intersil boards)
This will do everything (install the driver patch
and the necessary files ). (make sure that you logged on
as root).
C. In case you have a USB card with Different pid vid.
-There is a chance that you have a board with a different
pid vid than the ones which are supported. In this case in the
setup directory run :
# sh setup.sh -v
and then:
# make usb_pid_vid
D. In order for the applications to run you have to enable
CONFIG_NET_RADIO in the kernel.
in /usr/src/linux
# make menuconfig
Select Network Device Support
