A Krispy Kreme just opened near me and I've seen the power of these doughnuts. There were cops directing traffic on the roads nearby there were so many people wanting to get in, no exaggeration. The place sold like 15,000 doughnuts in 3 hours!
The other funny thing is the other doughnut shops around were all sold out of glazed doughnuts as well since so many people saw that Krispy kreme was nuts so they just went somewhere else. I mean, these doughnuts are awesome but people were going crazy to get them...makes me think if they put crack in them or something.

i still havent had one of these fabled concoctions. trusted sources tell me they are pretty damn good though. something like that happened when one opened up in CT i think. the cops had to direct traffic because there were so many mindless donut eaters saturating the area.

eh i don't get it
they're really not very good
its just pure fucking sugar and fat
they're like honey buns, those things you can find in vending machines
a sports team in our school did a fundraiser w/ them and one of my friends bought 3 boxes of donuts and was givin them out, and i baaaaaarely got through one, just too much sugar
in my town people were so pathetic. they actually slept over the area to wait for the grand opening. stupid pathetic and a bunch of losers. show's how much entertainment we have around this fucking place.
anyways that is why america is so fat. it's shit like this. i have completely stopped eating at Micky D's and Booger King and other fast food restaurants for about 8 months now and i'm feeling good about it. i just eat occasionally in a restaurant like chili's or other similar places whenever myf riends want to and usually just eat grocery food.
no more krispy kreme dounut too cause i was hooked on it a year ago. used to order it at least twice a week. but no more diabetes inducing doughnuts for me.

First time I read I thought the cops ate 15,000 donuts, was thinking: how typical... LOL!

Ha. Did that cop join in on the fun?
Well, umm, I would say Krispy Kremes are a bit on the sugary side (maybe a lot on the sugary side). But they sure are addictive.
Ironically enough, the attention that a new Krispy Kreme gets from Middle America, I would give to a restaurant that cooked ONLY healthy food. No saturated fat, choice of low-GI carbs to substitute the high-GI carbs, myoplex protein shakes, ground turkey burgers/pitas, etc.

All of this talking about them makes me want one. I would laugh if I saw the cop with a dozen directing traffic.
