I read some pretty good reviews about it but I wouldn't mind a tranceaddicts point of view on it
(thats if anyone has one)
thanks.

hey.. i used that as my first mixer. its solid. i didn't have any problems with it. sound quality was good. effects were decent. i liked how it had kill buttons. overall you'll be happy with it. has all the functions for an entry level mixer. great for the price. (i got mine for 180)

G'day Matt!
The DXM-06 is a great entry level mixer, I have been using one since I started mixing - which is about 6 months now.
The sound is very very clean, sometimes though its a bit too clean making it sound too flat [to my ears] but it works well on a good loud speaker system.
The effects are alright, but they seem to amplify the sound a bit, so what you have to do is lower the master volumn a bit when you apply them - which i find is quite a hassle - not too sure if other effect mixers do this?
Putting those aside, it's a great mixer - played out [@ a house party] for the first time last weekend with the DXM-06 and had no problems!

i suspect you have the mix or depth set too high on the effect

$550 (Australian dollars)
I heard the effects can be quite addictive at times.
I will end up spinning some techno and tech-trance so the effects may come in handy.
anyway, thanks everyone, i'm picking it up in a few days.
