For me, it was quite an ordeal to get it working, and i still can't get it to work on my laptop, I have to run it on my tower, which is annoying. Everyone has mixed emotions about it, I have to admit I love it when it works, and no matter what people say you ***can*** buy MP3's and WAV files online and support the record companies. Sites like beatport.com and bedrock have downloadable files for programs like FS. For someone who does not have a load of cash or access to a repuatable record shop, it can be helpful. But look foreward to a possible ordeal in getting it to work.
If I were you (I wish I would have done this myself) I would have waited for serato to come out, and get the reviews from that. But the fact remains that Scratch Live runs on the XP platform, not the Linux one. TFS 1.5 runs horribly on XP on my laptop, but 1.1 runs perfectly on Linux on my tower. Just be careful and see what people say.
