Ok im just starting out i want to start producing songs and im completely clueless. I was looking into reason 2.5 and was reading what i need and it said something about a MIDI interface and a MIDI keyboard. What the hell is MIDI? fill me in and VSTi...Tell me everything you know! Well not everything but what i need to get started. thanx.

midi is just like 'paper'music, but then digital, its just note's, no actually sound, and a velocity (128 steps, the higher the harder the note is been pressed)

midi keyboards just tells your pc/mac what note you hit and how hard you've done that.

reason does not supports vts.. and i don't really know much about that so..

VSTI = Digital synthesizers
