I need some non patch involved ideas to help me quit smoking.

cold turkey for the first few days. then have something to keep your hands busy, and stop putting yourself in places that remind you of when you smoked.


or when you get craving eat somethign sour, someone in the other thread said that....i liked that.

well, its been close to 1 month since i quit and going good

...what i did was change my environment.. re-do house or a like

get a new/another hobbie, hangging around people who smoke was one thing i MADE my self do tho... just to remind me just why i quit (dunno, thats just me)you might do other wise!

now the " W " word " Will power " <--- now this DONT mean sh*t

its an emotion it come's and goes.

Think of quiting like a game ..really test your self out...

p.s get through the first week and your home free

just dont think of the solid feel of that perfect palm sized box, the little taps you give it to pack it. flipping that lid back and seeing little rows of heaven lined up in perfect little circles. Softly sliding one out, feeling the creamy paper between your fingers as you place it between your lips and pull out your favorite lighter. And DONT think about that first indrawn breath where the sweet essence is carried down into your lungs. and then turns them black and shitty and you realize its killing you you idiot.

i have decided there is just no good time to quit if u are a college student
don't know if u are, but i know i am
and ive tried like 8 times already this school year
non-successfully i might add

my friend used a waterbottle. and everytime he wanted a cigarette, he took a swig
had to pee alot, but he got his 8 bottles a day and it fulfilled his oral fixation

learn the gaytar. thats what ive been doing recently

aint smoked for a week or so now...so u might as well do something instead of smoking. also u get good at something so either way u win because u dont die, feel much healthier, get good at something and feel better abt urself. also ud be richer.
