Or Florida for that matter. God im still trying to clear my record up in Florida. When i moved away from Florida of course im going to drop my insurance coverage in that state.....well the dmv in Florida requires you to prove that you moved and if you didnt they suspend your DL there and make you pay a $250 fine.....fucking bull shit I have to pay this fine before i can drive in that state again.

It says that any person age 18 or 19 that goes between 1 and 9 mph over the speed limit has to do this!!!!!!!! WHAT THE FLYING FUCK KIND OF RETARDED ABITRARY SHIT IS THAT!!!!!!!!!???? It sounds like they tailored the law specifically to my case so they could get more money out of me!! I HATE VIRGINIA If I can come up with a cohesive statement, I'm really considering writing my congressman. This is ludicrous and insulting. I am a broke student. I don't have $75 lying around, nor do I have time in my schedule to attend some class that is probably an hour away in Reston or something. This was my first offense, other than that speeding ticket my driving record has been perfect for 3 years. jesus fucking christ I hate this fucking state. /end rant

damn sucks dude.. this may be a moot point, but do you have the officer's name and badge number on the ticket? is there anyway you can call the police station and see if he would be able to help you out at all.

I dunno, seems like a far out scheme, but hey, maybe the officers from MD can grease the wheels of the beaurocrats of VA.

I was thinking about that, but I can't find my copy of the ticket anywhere. I think I might've thrown it away after I paid the fine, b/c I thought it wasn't neccessary anymore

state makes the laws and the DMV carries them out along with the police...I hate the DMV too

pehehe jeez that sux..lucky you it's only 75 bux. right here in germany we must not get points for 2 years (after u made the license) or else we'd have to pay bout 400 bux and take part in a feckin driver improvement course,too or else we get our license suspended

I got a 71 in 55 and had to take the 8 hour course. Its long but not that bad. I had it with a cool guy who was like "I know you dont wanna be here, so i'll make it fun." It wasn't necessarily fun, but it helped pass the time.

I would call up the frederick police and ask them to look up your license #, and see who was the officer who wrote you the ticket.
Thats what i'd do at least.
