The major reason is because of the pitch increment. I think the Pioneers go up .2 and the Techs go up .5

Not if it's a digital pitch adjust.

As an owner of 2 Pioneer CDJ1000MKII decks, I wanna let all you guys know that the pitch increments on them are 0.5

EDIT:

Sorry guys, I said some wrong information above, but here are the correct measurements:

quote:
For CDJ1000MK2s:
+/- 6% == 0.02 increment
+/- 10% == 0.05 increment
+/- 16% == 0.05 increment
+/- 100% == 0.5 increment

Quoted from brian.

The Pioneer adjusts in smaller increments if you set the range to +/- 6%, and 10%. I quote from their website:

quote:
A new 100mm linear high precision slider connected to a 0.02% (at +/- 6% and +/- 10%) adjustment indication on the display panel.

Everyone else is speculating about the Technics deck. Wait for them to hit the stores or for some official reviews to hit the press/web.

This is a great forum, but some of you guys propagate loads of misinformation.

I think u guys mean 0.05% and not 0.5%, cuz even my Pioneer CMX-3000s can go as low as 0.05%.

I know a guy who dj'd at the launch party here in britain for the technics and a couple of the dj's complained about them skiping, but as he said; you can rest assure that technics will never release anything that is inferior to another product.

Yours must be beyond fux0red because mine can go in increments of .02.

For CDJ1000MK2s:
+/- 6% == 0.02 increment
+/- 10% == 0.05 increment
+/- 16% == 0.05 increment
