Recording Live Music (@ shows)

hi everyone,

i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations about what recording devices are best for recording live music (at concerts, shows, clubs, etc.)

it seems like digital voice recorders (some with mp3 capability) are the best option, but i can't imagine the sound being anything better than mediocre...

any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated

I wouldn't hold your hopes up, the end product will probably sound like it's been recorded in a wheelie bin.

i've been looking into it, and most people recommend using a minidisc and a good mic -- i guess next time i'm out i'll bring my md and an easy-to-conceal binaural mic.

we'll see how that goes...
