silent breaks and those 'clicks'

i downloaded a program called wave corrector to fix the click that happen from time to time when a record is VERY quiet. but, it was an evaluation version that only let me process the first 2 minutes. i remember seeing people recomend programs in the past that were free for this, but i tried searching for it and couldn't find it. anyone know any free (preferably small, i use 56k ) programs to edit out those 'clicks' in recordings? thanks in advance-

I would recommend you go with a copy of Pro Tools if you can somehow manage to find one free. though it won't be a small download/install it will get you the results that your looking for.

you should really leave those clicks in there! they give your mix some personality and they show people that you are actually spinning with vinyl, rather than using mp3s or something. i think they sound sick and would never remove them from my mixes.. but that's just me.

Yes i also love those clicks! If you pay attention to some sets by big dj's you can clearly hear clicks... (if they are using vinyl of course)
