I broke my elbow on friday skateboarding(longboarding) and it fucking blows.
right arm is so weak, I cant even hold a pen, open a door, or anything like that. My range of motion has improved vastly(as im not in a cast) but I still have no rotation in my wrist...this just fucking blows.

I came home to work for the summer, nad I cant even do that with only 1 arm. (ahh yes, you ever tried cutting with a chefs knife in the wrong hand, its not pretty)

This just fucking blows.

That sucks. I had massive nerve damage in my right elbow last year. I now what you mean by not being able to do shit with it. And after surgery, 8 months of rehab it is finally back to normal, or at least close to.

yikes, sorry to hear that! i hope you feel better soon ... get lots of prescription painkillers!!

actually, unless I try to go beyond what my current range of motion is, it doesnt hurt much.
rotation kills, but just doing nothing, is fairly dull.
its just the biggest pain in the ass to lose your dominant hand in everything.

but you are in Calgary..if you are looking, thinking or even thinking about thinking of buying a longboard, head over to REDNIK. Its in the Mall just south of Mount Royal College, with the bass bros pub and everything there.
Head to Rednik on a day with good weather, and they let you demo boards around the parking lot (which mission did not let me), they were just really really nice to me. if I could rate the service there it would get a 14 on 10. ya.

its so much fun just cruising around.
but watch the hills. Those trucks+wheels get going REALLY fast real quick.
