depends what ya like and how old you are.
if you're 21+ then on 9/20 (thursday) puresounds is bringing out anne savage. she's one of the best uk hardhouse dj's and tix are only $10 if you get them presale. otherwise i think it's $20 at the door. also half the proceeds go to EMDEF (electronic music defense and education fund) to support the scene.
then on 10/13 tiesto is coming to the giant but get there early cuz it's gonna be a long wait. i'm debating between that or earthdance with donald glaude, john kelley, and electric skychurch.
for all ages there's go! on 9/28. it's got fred numf (i love this guy!) for all the trancers and dj polywog from groove the movie. can't recall who else is gonna be there. i think angel alanis is spinnin house. not sure on location yet. should be finalized soon. i work for these guys and puresounds so if you're planning to hit either one up then let me know and i'll see if i can hook you up with anything.

Does GIANT have a website i can go to or what. PLEEEAAASSEE dont let the giant be 21 and over. I heard the giant is pretty cool....cant wait to check it out. Dude man...lets call everyone out to this one or something! Cause dammit, the last time tiesto came, it was 21 and over, then it was NOCTURNAL, i went but didnt know that anyone else at this site went. Plus i couldnt really call everyone out cause it was a fricken 4 hour drive. BUT NOW that ive found out about this little "rave review" section...lets get everybody to go!!!!! WHOS WITH ME?!?!!?!? =)

hey hitokiri...sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the giant is 21+. i'm not 100% about that but i'm pretty sure. i think their website is www.giantclub.com but i'm not sure. i don't like the giant all that much cuz you have to wait in line for 3+ hours with a bunch of trendy morons that don't even know who the dj's are. that's just my impression. i banned myself from the giant after i moved three feet in two hours while waiting to see christopher lawrence and sandra collins. it was christopher's united states of trance cd release party. i was all stoked but there were all these trendy hollywood people in line and it kinda pissed me off. oh well. i'll probably go check it out sometime cuz all my friends seem to like it but i figure there's probably a better party somewhere else. know what i mean. the only thing that i know of that's under 21 is the go party i mentioned above. i'll be at that one cuz fred numf!!! and also cuz i work for them. let me know if you're going so we can meet up. lates.

hey ian... i agree that the socal scene sucks nowadays. if you went to nocturnal then you would totally understand from that weird vibe that was there. but some good dj's still come out here. that's why i agreed to work for puresounds. they're the only company i know that does there best to have a drug-free environment with kick-ass djs. to us it's the music that should move you and nothing else. we're the company that brought tiesto out here for his first LA appearance. check the magik 7 cd and it says recorded at the mayan, LA hosted by puresounds or something like that. i don't actually own the cd so i couldn't tell you. then we brought out robert smit who isn't a big name out in the states but from what i understand he's a real crowdpleaser in his home country of the netherlands. he didn't disappoint us out here!!!! then we brought out david moreno and space but it's too bad that the socal scene is all into drugs and not music cuz no one really appreciated what we were doing. we still had an awesome party but i wish the scene out here was more cognizant of what was going on in europe. now we're bringing out anne saveage, fred numf, and we're in the works for some other big name dj's. also danny tenaglia was out at c2k in vegas the night before nocturnal. you can't knock that. so don't lose heart ian. there are still some good parties if you look for them but i can't argue with you about the scene. just keep searching for the true parties and you'll find 'em. peace!!!!
