Smiley DJ Shure E3 Earphones - I never knew music sounded this good....

My brother got me a set of Shure E3 Sound Isolating Earphones for my birthday (to use w/ my iPod) and they just arrived in the mail today.

Listening to Scott Bond & Solar Stone - 3rd Earth and MY GOD! I honestly have never heard anything like this. Flawless sound.

http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNA...hure/PR/E3.html

Man, I wish I could use these when DJ'ing. They come with a few different ear sleeves to customize fit - and even better, they fit into my molded ear plugs (by removing the attenuator) and block out nearly 100% of external sound while wearing them.

If you listen to a lot of tunes on a discman, md player, ipod or whatever - seriously considering getting these things. Friggin' heaven.

E Series Vs. Regular Headphones

Shure Sound Isolating Earphones deliver accurate sound compared to larger, more expensive home listening headphones and they are easier to carry. The sound isolating technology block background noise, revealing extraordinary detail and allows the listener to listen at lower levels for longer periods of time.

E Series Vs. Noise Cancellation Devices

Typical active noise canceling headphones may introduce unwanted audio artifacts in your sound. Furthermore, active noise-canceling products are typically only effective at low frequencies. Shure Sound Isolating Earphones help to stop the noise from even entering the listening space, and do not need any extra batteries or an external body pack to operate.

E Series Vs. Other Sound Isolating Products

Shure Sound Isolating Earphones provide studio quality sound, offer a unique, more secure around-the-ear, behind-the-back out-of-the-way cable design ideal for active lifestyles. They also provide a personalized fit kit with more sleeve options for a secure fit, resulting in better isolation.

OMFG! Dark Sweet Symphony (Frank Trax rmx) by Dark Suite feat. Aura on the e3's! WOW!

I've listened to this track 100s of times - but never felt as if it was sitting right next to me being played.... (not to mention I could hear every speck of dust and static charge on the vinyl, which amazing considering this is a professionally mastered CD release that I'm listening to it on).

I'd still prefer my Sony E-888's. Having something jammed into my ear canal is just not appealing. I've tried the Sony noise cancelling headphones (NC-11), and they just feel nasty.

I have a hard time enjoying any earbuds... i hate sticking things in my ear, especially if they end up residing there for a while

these 'in-ear' style earphones are so much more comfortable than regular earbuds!

i was looking at the etymotic ones, but i couldnt justify paying that much money for earphones that i'd only use when riding the subway to work. so i went to bay bloor and picked up a pair of sony mdr-ex71 in ear headphones, and they absolutely rock! i have a pair of e888's as well, and i can tell you these are so much better. better bass, and soo much more comfie.

i can only imagine what the shure and etymotic's sound like

steve.

The point with these however is that they come with a bunch of custom fit plugs and they also fit into custom molds (which I have for hearing protection).

These things are NOTHING like typical ear-bud style as far as how they feel. I fell asleep on the GoTrain this morning and nearly missed union station, woke up the train was empty and about to head out to Ajax... lol.

With the custom molds (which I have used for music yet, just protection) I've worn them for probably 10 hours non-stop and they feel so natural that I usually have to check every hour to make sure they're still in.

Nice!

I always wear my Sony earbuds while on the Go Train.

But mine are cheap and lack any real bass, I thought it may have been because of the size.

How are those at producing bass?

Do you ever get that conductor that jokes, "If someone has fallen asleep, take them with you."
