Hi, I was wondering if any software has come out yet better than Traktor-(What version is the newest?)

Also, currently, which is better between software or hardware for mixing?

Better than Traktor, I would have to say Serato Scratch live.

PCDJ is a great program and personally I like it better than Traktor. Reason being is that it is more up-front with its features. While it doesn't have things like EQ kills, I don't really see a need for them since mixing on a computer is a bitch if you're trying to use EQs.

Blithe is absolutely right. I played around with DJ software a couple months before I decided to buy turntables -- which is the smart thing to do. I have seen some people buy the most expensive shit and realize that they either hate it, have no proper musical talent whatsoever, or don't have the time to learn. Angel is going about this the right way.

I will agree with you that to try to 'pro' with computer mixing is lame, but I said earlier, it's fun to mess around with and get the feel for things.

i have my set-up at my apartment but its hard to move all of it around. When i travel or go to a frieds apart i take my laptop.
I use atomixmp3 which seems very good. I haven't the oportunity to use any other type of software, but i'll really like to see what else there is around.
the only prob i have is that i don't have a second soundcard so i cant listen to the track i'm going to mix in (so i just try to remember the place in the track where the breaks are)
