What are some good 2 channel mixers?

Ive tried the Numark dxm06 and i liked it alot... kinda pricey tho...

What are some other similar mixers but maybe not as $$$...

Effects are preferred but not required...

The only mixer that's good in that price range is the tascam xs-8. (BTW it's a discontinued model so you may be able to find it for $150. Otherwise the price of it origionally is $400-$500 new)

I would have to agree.Go with tascam or some other type than numark if you can.Numark faders suck balls. They sound good but they have little timers in them that as soon as the warranty expires it self destructs certain parts.

Good mixers without self destruct timers are
tascam
rane
allen and heath
pioneer
korg

mixers with the self destruct timers

numark
vestax
gemini

If you can still find the Tascam XS-8 for $150 you better get that one but there aren't many of them left, $300 is even a damn good price to pay for it. Try calling a few GuitarCenters and see if they can try to locate one for you. Good luck!

Self destruction timers??????? Is this guy for real??? It sounds VERY far fetched to me... should i be having second thoughts on buying a vestax 275, seeing as it was on the "self destruct" list?

You weren't aware of the self-destruct timers present on lower-priced DJ equipment? Get with it man.

My old numark exploded and took out some of my favorite records. Don't risk it.

personally i wouldn't put vestax on the list of bad mixers. Most of them are actually good mixers especially the pmc-275. I would honestly say stanton are a brand of mixers to say away from. I had nothing but bad luck and experience the past two years w/ stanton mixers and final crash. (BTW, back in the day i owned a sk-4 and it's lasted me 4 good long hard years. So im really just disapointed that stanton's quality took a downfall)
