Monitor Stands

What sort of stands do people on here use for their monitors? I've read that the type of stand you use has a large impact on the resulting sound.... I've been checking out some of the dj setup photos and seens some real nice setups...

I have mine on bricks which sit on the same table as my TTs and mixer. It raises the speakers to just the same height as my technics (the bottom of the speaker is at the same height as the platter.)

Im currently using a pair of 24" wood technology wt series speaker stands. I bought them back when i built up a home theater system in my basement. Now i have one stand sitting on top of my pc's logitech subwoofer to raise it a little. The other stand is still on the floor and is a little short. When i move i will get a larger table for my decks and probably place both stands directly on it to raise the height.

chex: that's what I'm planning on doing is adding the monitor stands to my current table... Measured it out and the speaker will be positioned right at the ear level desired...

dj chex: how sturdy are your speaker stands (do they rock/move around when your bumping the bass)? I'm looking at getting some from wood technology and was wondering if you had any problems when playing your monitors loud.. Are there clamps so the monitor gets fastened to the stand?

These are the monitors I'm looking at getting stands for: Yamaha MSP 5's...
