hey all i'm looking to purchase a pair of these and would like to know what i should pay. i don't want to get into a bid war on ebay and over pay...i've seen some postings on the web for around $350-$400..that would be nice....what do you guys suggest?

They go for $400 new...they usually sell for about $250 used. I got one for $150 and one for $200 so if you look around enough you can find good deals. Make sure there is a picture of it on the listing and that the person has good feedback...you don't want to spend a lot of money on something that doesn't work or look good.

I got a pair of 1200s with a pair of ortofon Dj S concordes (like i dont have too may concordes already ) for 350 uk pounds last month.

Immaculate and home use only.

Bargains around, although ebay pairs tend to sell for what they are worth

$400 new? i see them selling for like $800+ new for a pair. here's one that is used and selling for $255 currently w/out reserve being met.

i think what he meant was they go for $400 each new. thats what i paid for my MK2s.

I got mine for 300 each at Guitar Center.

well you got all these people that say theyve payed 400 for 2 which i think is a excellent price, id pay about 600 for 2 of em used

I got one from ebay, it was $325 and it was immaculate and came with a Ortofon Concorde Scratch, with 2 extra styli, then I got my second tech from a second hand place ran from a garage, unfortunately I payed $350 for it and it was in the same condition, but massively dirty, and it didn't have any Cartridge, not even a headshell, so I went and got another Concorde pronto.

Now I have 2 Techs in awesome condition, running fine for $675 CDN.

it took me about 2 weeks to hunt for the table i have now... i got a mk2 (with case, headshell, no needle, and slipmat) for $227 and a m3d (with case, headshell + cheap cart) for $280 from the same guy.

but i think its worth it with all the money i saved!

so yeah, basically, you are looking at about 240-280 for a used mk2. make sure you get to see pictures of the table and ask about the condition of it if its not posted. also, dont let the seller rip you off with shipping (yes i know its heavy but... if its 80 bucks shipping for one single table you know something is fishy)
