how was your night guys? hope you had fun!

yeah was a really good nite!! i arrived just in time to catch the end of jumping jack's set which sounded quite good. he finished up with some nice tracks including rapid eye - santa cruz and fictivision vs phynn - escape which set the pace nicely for GTR.

GTR played an awesome set. was a good mixture of old and new tunes and was similar to what he played in melbourne. his mixing was pretty much spot on. i didnt know many tracks but he was playing from cd most of the nite so i suspect a lot were new tunes.

here's what i remember:

randy katana - in silence
ton tb - dream machine
solid globe - north pole
thrillseekers - new life
thrillseekers - synaethesia
gtr - mistral (the place went crazy when he played this!)

had a chat to gaz after his set and was surprised he even remembered my name from when i saw him last yr! really nice guy to talk to and even asked me to catch up with him later for a few drinks with him before he leaves sydney

Anyone know if GTR is coming to brisbane?

Trance Records For Sale

finally surfaced...

Well what can I say, one of the best trance sets Ive heard in a long time. Night started off with JJ playing some nice tunes, which got the crowd moving. Ended with Fictivision - Escape (Phynn mix), which was amazing.

Then GTR braced the decks. Started off relatively hard, however played Age of love (Marco V mix) and some other big names, which the progress crowd really warmed to. The second half of his set was filled with so many new and upfront tunes which sent me into an absolute frenzy. One definitely appreciates a set alot more when they dont know each and every track the dj is playing and Gareth always had the ta contingent guessing. Highlights included Mistral, Electronic malfunction and at least 5 or 6 other tracks, which I couldn't id. All in all, rates up there with one of the best trance sets ive heard in a long, long time.

Big ups to Faz, Rach and Lis and the ta who I met right at the end (sorry dude I forgot your name).
