It all really depends on the crowd.

One of your skills as a DJ is to read them.

also what slot you are in... opening, mid, closing, etc... your set should vary for each unique headliner...

however if you are the one headlining then theres no rules...

and dont forget the croud will only remember the last 2 songs you just played so changeing intensity/direction can be done pretty fast.

Yea but going on after a hip-hop DJ...there is no other *good* way to transfer to progressive/trance. Your gonna clear the floor no matter what, but you'll get your crowd that wants to hear you come on.

What about mixing on Drum N Bass then goto Breaks and then onto Trance, I think you could make it work.

Yeah, vocal breakbeat stuff would probably smoothen the transition.

true, transitioning that way will sound better no doubt, but the fools who listen to shit-hop are still gonna leave anyways when you change up and go into electronic.

wErd...
I think it would be a bit weird to be asked to spin (when you spin trance) in a club that obviously has a hiphop crowd in attendence... The promoter or club owner must be smoking something to ask an Electronica DJ to spin after a HipHop DJ... or even worse to spin in a HipHop oriented club...
