You can also use some Simple Green cleaning liquid (or equivalent) to scrub down any stuck on crap... it should come out looking ALMOST brand new.. My mate did that to his technic and you would never know that it had been storeage...

Yup, I did exactly that, I bought the Tech from a garage shop, and the thing was filthy dirty, you couldn't even see the dots on the platter, but I took a chance anfter testing out the motor, and after 2 hours of cleaning, with all sorts of house hold cleaners, some compressed air, and a bunch of q-tips, and now it looks awesome, I couldn't believe how good the condition was after.
So I say go for it and get them.
