Definitely one of the best nights at Vision this year - Mazi and Jay did an awesome job tag-teaming and kept me moving. The dancefloor was packed, but plenty of room to dance, which was nice - I'm tired of the big ass shows where you can't find room to dance so it was nice not have to push and shove on the dancefloor or by the dj booth
What can you say about Holden? He threw down another great set - he continues to impress me and I think his reputation is just going to continue to grow. Can't wait for him to come back to Chicago.
Only complaint of the night - at the end of the night it seems that the lights came on and stayed on for about 1/2 hour!!!

Glad to hear you both enjoyed it. I figured this would be tech-house and techno at it's finest. For all who are going to the BBQ, have a great time.
Any idea if he played his remix of Britney - Breathe on Me?

Yes he did. Thanks to Myra for the id on it though. Funny thing about that song is that I was looking through my wmc vids the other day and had one from S&D and they were playing that song. I was like shit I need to get that id'ed. And sure enough James played it. Was pretty ironic, dont ya think?
But the night couldnt have been better. I figured on paying $10 to get in after getting on the relode list, but I had to pay nothing when I got to the register. Cant beat that anyday.
Everyone threw down great sets. Overall I was more into James' set, but Jay and Mazi were wicked up there. We missed you up there Bobby. But it was nice to see so many familar faces, from TA and it was a bit of a Miami reunion with some other friends too.
Mazi and Jay were playing a few tracks that were on Burridge's Kiss 100 set from last weekend. They played a track w/ vocals 'I need a freak, a superfreak' and that Red Dress song that Aaron was talking about to me. And Spektrum - Kinda New (tiefschwarz dub) was right before Holden. Thats the one you needed JM. James also played A Break in the Clouds (Beats Tool mix), Petter - All Together, and Nathan Fake - Outhouse.
I've got several vids and pics I'll post up shortly.

yep it was KILLER to hear that song live in the club.
i had an awesome night. good crowd and awesome music. Holden's set was fabulous and it just kept getting better towards the end. i need to find out the two tracks he played for his encore, 'cause both of those were just awesome.
i got to meet Holden before his set (ran into him up on the 3rd floor) and got a picture and had him sign the cover of the Balance 005 CD.
it was nice to see some of you TA's out as well. i'm anxious to hear some reviews of the bbq today, for those of you who went (or are going).

yes - have to agree that it was a great crowd and great tunes - holden's set just flowed and kept getting darker and darker. he was so into his music and set - very professional guy. the crowd was just the right size - and i heard that the promoters were very happy with the turn-out, so expect to see holden and tripwire back in town.
holden is definitely becoming one of my fav dj's
Tom - thanks for id'ing the last track before holden - loved it!

yeah, GREAT night! nice to see everyone out again. i did the $10 deal since i didn't want to have to rush to beat the midnight deadline, but now i'm kicking myself since mazi and tripwire tore it up for the 1 hour i did hear them. that spektrum track you're all talking about...is that the one sasha's been dropping a lot lately?
loved how there was room to dance and walk around. still working on getting the pix and clips online from vision, pvd, smartbar, summerdance, and RRR BBQ.
