--------trance Vs. Techno-------

Trance is awesome, but just wondering if trance lovers also like techno? most people like more than one genre, right?

wrong discussion to start mate... thisll end in a lock

but the top an bottom of it is... trance is more atmospheric, techno relys on loops and samples creating a mind winding journey, as opposed to euphoria.

with regards to thoughtfulness, id go for techno, as trance is getting wayy too watered down now.. for creativity, techno all the way.

and no im not a techno elitest

yes .. this is going to end up in a continuous loop..
i myself like all kinds .. trance, house, d 'n b, ambient..

there are two types of people, one that can see outside the circle and evolve around different genres, and those who stay in the circle, which stay with only one genre and never want to come out and play.. i say these forums have people that are 70% outside the circle and 20% in the circle forever and 10% who are not even part of the circle (those who don't like EDM music .. i still can't figure out why they're here)

so that's why we're going to end in a continuous loop..
in computer terms, like this..

void continuousLoop() {
int i;

i = 0;
while (i = 0) { System.out.println("I like it, but i don't like it??"); }

} // continuousLoop

I love both of them about the same. I need Techno in a long set, only Trance would get too boring...
Tech-Trance, now, that I can handle for many hours

I don't really feel that you can objectively compare the two. Trance is melodically-oriented, whereas techno is rhythmically-oriented. If the main emphasis is on two separate areas, it gets hard to compare the two.

it's great to see people can enjoy more than one genre as each have their merits. but what do you think of parties that have trance and dj's playing in the same room, at different times of the night of course??

isn't it quite irritating when a certain invidual is not aware of the edm scene or the types of music there is, but then again lets say they hear trance, prog, or house track, they label them as "techno".
