That's good.. from what I've heard there are problems with the pressings. Why don't they just repress the control vinyl rather than adjusting to the problem with a software fix? $$ save?
They should repress the control vinyl and send 'em out to current users, as well as pack it with new units. It's probably not as profitable to make that move though.

Hello all,
I was disappointed with final scratch. When I switched from digital back to normal vinyl, I got a hum sound coming over the system.

FinalScratch works for me perfectly. Some people have had problems and no support, but that can happen anywhere. As for the humming, that has nothing to do with FinalScratch, that is a ground loop and can happen with any equipment. I had the same problem, when I connected the power to my laptop, I would get a bad hum when using Phono. It only happened in certain locations, had no humming in some places, then in my house it hums. So I bought a small ground filter to put inline with the power cord of my laptop. No more humming!

Are they selling extra control vinyl seperately through any authorized dealer? I know that the guys over at AGI pro DJ are carrying control vinyl but they seem to be the only ones, at least that I've seen.
I think I'll end up going with Serato after everything that I've heard/read. To be honest, after all of my experiences with Stanton, whether their product is actually made by them or not, I would still rather not endorse their goods.

I have Final Scratch and I'm completely happy with it. Although, it on PC, it still works great. I would consider moving it over to Apple, but the cost of a Powerbook is a little much for me right now. I think both products have their good and bad qualities. I think its more or less of a trade off rather than anything else.

Just get virtualdj 2.01 and some timecoded vinyl.. for best results buy a soundcard with asio(low latency) drivers like the maya 44 usb . It will be cheaper and better !! mixvibes dvs and djdecks are other solutions...
