James Holden

Hi im a very big fan of james holden...hes one of my fav producers and djs...but im curious..what genre would his style of music be in?

my guess is his productions are progessive trance..and when he spins he has more of a retro style...not sure

help needed!

I`d call it trance.. but for u genre-hungry people I would describe his style as Progressive, or/and Progressive House... I dont know what he spins though..

his productions used to be a good definition of progressive trance, he used to spin what could be called a good definition of progressive house, but now moved to a weird new style which is still pretty damn cool. doesn't like to be called "progressive" anymore

Yeah, His style has completely changed to a more techy style, Though still good, It will take a while to get used to since many of us were used to his more proggy trance style, But either way, Anything this guy makes, Is nothing short, But amazing.

ch00n. Although that track really defines Altitude (Steve Gibbs) more than it does Holden. His remix of Jurgen Vries - The Theme was also a nice track but by far his best production was Steve Gibbs - Tokyo.
