Just on the Democrats point, they're currently languishing in the polls -- and whether we like it or not, they're going to struggle in this election. The 'leftist' vote certainly seems to have shifted to the Greens – they’re consistently polling at around 10%. Their policies (Greens & Democrats) are very close to each other, and as far as I’m concerned they're both worthy of votes -- it's just a matter of which one happens to be doing better in the polls (for me at least). But yeah, I’ll be voting Greens in both houses -- with the Democrats and Labor behind. I've decided to put the Liberals last this time around (yes, even below One Nation), if Costello was the leader I might reconsider, but I'm afraid that the whole ‘let’s lock up young children in the middle of the desert for political advantage!’ thing has worn a bit thin on me. To be perfectly honest I can’t see myself ever voting for the Liberal party again after what they’ve done with regards to refugees, the Iraq war, the US-AU alliance, the Environment etc.
