well i was wondering how many here follow NCAA football? who's your favorite team? who do you expect to end up as the #1 ranked squad?

i also had an arguement earlier with someone as to which is the strongest division. i argued that the Big 12 has the strongest teams and this year is no exception. from this weeks polls here are the big 12 teams that are ranked through AP (by their point system);

#3 Oklahoma
#4 Nebraska
#5 Texas (ssssssss)
#12 Kansas St
#24 Texas A&M (whoop!)
#26 Colorado
#32 Iowa

also i see that the miami and florida teams are number 1 and 2, what's up with that state?

as for Texas A&M, "my" team, we just beat notre dame and handed them thier first 0-3 season in their 114 year football history. we had 87,206 people watching the game in... the largest crowd to watch a football game in Texas history. we're 4-0 with hopefully an easy game agianst baylor this coming saturday

i follow college football religiously, and almost slipped in to cardiac arrest when Notre Dame (my team) got their asses handed to them last weekend. so much pride....so much tradition.....so BAD!!
i would have bet the house that they wouldn't have beaten A&M and avoided this catasrophe. ND has such a huge following, i feel bad for the alumni and the entire organization. they play such a killer schedule and opened the season against Nebraska, Michigan State (whom they havn't beat in 5 tries) then A&M at home. WTF.

-----------anywayz, i think Oklahoma looks pretty good, although they just squeaked by last weekend but K-state is legit. right now i would have to say that Miami's the team to beat

and i would have to agree w/ u that the Big-12 has the most talented teams this season, but year in and year out u would have to give the nod to the Big Ten. that conference just puts out pro prospects like no other. u can argue this thing till the cows come home, but iv'e been following college football for about 10 yrs now and to me its just obvious. its also the consensus of most sports writers--------just ask kirk, lee and cris (gameday crew)

thats cool input man. i dont know if oklahoma is as strong this year but everything changes so quickly (i probably dont have to tell you that). honestly i didnt feel that bad at all that ND lost, the game was such a blast to see if you were an A&M fan. i recommend you watch tonight at 11:00pm (oct 4) the special on ESPN called sidelines its about texas A&M and trust me its an even toss up of which has more traditions going for them.

i hear what u r sayin' man. i know all abot how much football means to ppl in texas. A&M runs a quality program - geat tradition and excellent coaching, but ND's following is nation-wide. think about this for a minute....... what other team (college or pro) has ALL of its games televised NATIONALLY every year.------------none------

i follow not too closely though....

you're right both teams look real strong... i hear UW is not that bad either... i guess you're strongest contender is UO.

as for my Texas A&M update... we have just gotten our first loss, to coloroda. we were down 3 with 40 seconds left on he clock, on their 30 yard line, ready to beat them (we had the feild goal for sure) when on that play our QB got sacked from behind and fumbled the ball... Colorado retrieved and returned it to their endzone, what a heartbreaker... i almost cried this weekend we have Kansas St. another tough away game
