Question Japan/Taiwan

Hey is there anyone on this board from Japan or Taiwan?

I am going to one of these places for a year to teach english and want to ask questions about them, and meet some people before I go.

thanks!

hmm....I'm not from Japan or Taiwan although I'm asian. I thought about going to Japan to teach english, but seeing as I got a BIG FAT D+ in my Japanese class, I don't think that's going to happen. I have many friends (non-asian)who went to Japan to teach english for a year and they said it was a wonderful experience. My advice is to go to Japan, they say the country is beautiful, you can go hiking by the mountains in the morning, go shopping in the afternoon and soak in the club life in the evening.

My advice, go learn as much as you can about the country and culture. A lot of people go there and have a hard time adjusting. For example, sometimes if you want to wake up in the morning and have a bowl of Shreddies or Wheaties, it might not happen. Do a little research of where you would be staying, many people want to go to the biggest cities like Tokyo but you might end up in a little town.

I remembered you like to design clothes(???), if so check out Japan. Especially the club kids there, they got some wild and crazy shit. Going to a new country is always a great experience, good luck and have lots of fun bug_bite.

haha! i spent a month there, and that was probably my biggest complaint..
I JUST WANT A BOWL OF CEREAL!!!!

food was tough to adjust to.

but the japanese take EVERYTHING to extremes, and so it is a very very interesting place to spend time. can't wait to go back and do some more exploring....
