Google just released Canadian version of it's Local search. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a try - it's really cool.
Type in your postal code or address, and business(or anything) you are looking for. Google will find those businesses in your area, and show them on the map As example, try giving it "Tim Hortons", or try typing in typing in something like "cheap shoes", or anything else.

Coming back in January, and possibly for Tiesto's 6 hour set in December. We'll see.
Lots of events here too Clubs here kinda suck though. I totally don't understand why DJs like Tiesto and PVD come here on a regular basis.

Yeh, I used to live in almaden (suburb of san jose), yes the clubs suck.. try SF (Folsom), but there's not much around Santa Clara
