Talking Splitting Mixes

Hi everyone!
Im a newly-joined member of the tranceaddict.com forum and can i just say what a privilage it is to be here )!!

Let me cut strait to the chase,do any of you know the best/easiest way of splitting whole mixes, such as the ones on this site, into individual tracks so that i can burn onto cd to listen to and skip to the tracks i like. Have tried using simple programs such as WAVE editor to split tracks up but is a painstaking process!

Your help would be much appreciated,
Thank You

Cool

i would advise you to use cool edit 96\2000\pro
for sound editing these are the best i know...
you can also split tracks using Adaptec Easy CD Creator before burning your mix...

DO NOT actually split the tracks using CoolEdit or similar. This WILL create gaps between the tracks, and WILL NOT be more accurate than using cue files or Feurio. This is to do with the way CDs work - CDs are split into frames, each one being equivalent to 1/75 of a second. You CANNOT get your track splits any more accurate than this.

So, I would advise you to use Feurio, which uses a similar system to cue sheets, or using a program called CDRCue to create cuesheets and then burning with software that supports cuesheets, like CDRWin. These programs will keep the mp3/wav file intact and burn them whole, and just add the track markers over the top rather than physically making separate files which then have to be burned individually.

Thumbs up

WinOnCD is a cool burning program.
I use it only to burn livemix cause it's very easy to separate tracks.
Maybe you should try it, it's very easy to use too
