Way Out West - Don't Look Now

hey guys .. i see that this album is going to be released in the States in October 5 i think, but i know you euros and aussies and whoever out there outside the states probably have this album already

Way Out West - Don't Look Now

can you rate this album and offer some feedback on it? just wondering how GREAT this album is, because unfortunately, i do not believe the writers of cdnow.com with their thoughts on albums.

Everyone seems to love this album but I think it's just okay. The tracks that Omi is singing on are very "poppy" and commercial sounding but the breaky tracks like "Apollo", "Coming Home" and "Northern Lights" are very good. The bonus mix CD though is excellent and well worth the purchase price alone. Very melodic without being cheesey and nice and atmospheric - what Way Out West do best.

omi's singing somewhat turns me off for some reason. and the part about hyping it up and calling her a "secret weapon" only let down my expectations for her. but her voice doesnt stop me from listening to the album. i really liked "anything but you" but that was when i heard the instrumental version from way out west - live on annie nightingale 9-11-03 before i heard the album version. its still a good album tho.

Killa is tha chOON of the year.. mindblowing... the album is indeed very good... excellent.. although there are a couple of tracks that could be described as "fillers" but damn this CD is HOT...

I bought it today, it's a good CD.

Not a big fan of some of the vocal tracks, but I love Fear, great vocals there. Killa and Apollo are good 'clubby' tracks (i mean, as opposed to the poppy ones like Anything But You)

Overall it's a nice enough album to listen to, it didn't blow me away but it's good. I've only listened to it once or twice so maybe it's a grower.
