hmm.... how to spend my money...
You know, having money is almost as nerve wracking as not having it, when you're fickle.
I've got about $1000 saved up. My steady source of income (life guarding a pool) just ran out, and between school and everything else I don't know when I'll get another steady job, or how much money I'd have left over to spend on records, or anything else for that matter.
I had been saving for a CDJ-1000, but with future income looking sketchy I'm considering otherwise. Before anyone suggests the CDJ-800 - I've considered it, but decided that if I'm going to spend that much money I'm going to get the best, since I'm after its tricks and features more than just a digital turntable (I wonder how many more CDJs and FX units Pioneer has sold now that Zabiela has gotten big...).
I've been thinking just buying a shit load of records, among a few other things (namely an X-Box and Halo 2). I haven't bought any records in almost 4 months, and I'm beginning to reach a point where I feel it's time to start handing out demos, but at the moment my collection is too thin and diversified to play any sort of proper, flowing set.
Shit, I just can't decide. I know that a good collection of tunes is the most important thing for any DJ to have, but on the other hand I really like all the crazy tricks you can do with a CD turntable and don't know if I'll ever be able to save up another grand any time soon.
