Omega Force - Lyrical Bassdrum (Time Unlimited, 1995)

"The best tune I've heard this year. A pumping, spiralling hard trance melody done using hardfloorish synths kicks it off, and various squiggly bits chop in and out as it rolls along. The track is based around this speach from a preacher or Martin Luther King or someone. The first break has him ranting that "that really doesn't matter with me now... because I've been to the mountain top", the second break has him saying "I have seen the promised land", and towards the end the words and music build up as he goes on about how "we as a people will get to the promised land". By this time your audience is in pretty much the same state as the preachers audience would have been; viz uplifted, frothing at the mouth, and convinced they will reach the promised land within the next half hour. Some really nice little jungly snare and cymbal riffs come in and spice it up in places, and the whole tune is really well structured. Should still be able to get it - Time unlimited do not seem to delete tunes. About 155 bpm."
