I agree with Sunquest, I think with a different kick it will be alot better, maybe try sum different drum sounds instead of the electro
type.
Overall pretty nice and chill. I would maybe shorten it a bit or add a few new elements to the track.

Are you still using Project5?
peace

Yes...still Project5 user.

So...the kick needs more "oomph?". Does it need to push more air or just more volume? What frequencies should I enhance in the kick?

Thanks,

Digi

oomph away!!!
needs just a stronger kick, this one sounds like too round, u need a dry kick, this one sounds like its from Fruity loops :S

PS: after listening again, i conclude this is a PVD track , very much pvd style from 2000, if u master this well and send it to him, im sure he will do something with this

Hello!

80s .... yes....80s.

intresting basses.. some of synths sound a little raw.. the gated one is fine. intresting .... this is a little bit camp, but i like some of bits
where the basses changes, guitar is sweet, sweet pad chords love when the bass changes with it.

the bending of the bono vocal is a bit .

it has some really nice points others...way to camp.

Good Job!!!! its pro sounding from a mastering point of view!

Yeah pretty much agree with what's been said. Kick def needs to be changed. Gated pad is very nice and the vocals sit well. Maybe slow it down a little more and go for a chillout track, could be lovely.

Variation and extra synths that build up around 4:30 were a nice touch. Really kept it interesting.

I love U2 as well and enjoyed listening to this. Nice work, keep it up!

Thanks guys.

I altered the kick sample...but I can't bring myself to giving it more power. I don't wanna take away from the majesty and emotion behind the lyric and the pads.

That last BOOM with the kick really pushes some air and I didn't want anything remotely close to that spoiling the main motif.

Since you asked so nicely, thought I'd give this a listen. But I don't like U2 ...

This tune surprised me quite a bit, it sounds really good ( for U2 ) ... I liked the gated synth, and the filtering you've done on it. My favourite bit is around 4:23 when the guitar comes in over the strings, sounds lush!

I'm not a big fan of the 80's bass, but the beat is good, and overall the production sounds really good! Good work
