Courier from Sydney to Melbourne, help please.
I need to organise a courier that can deliver an item from Sydney to Melbourne. The item is speakers, and they weigh about 20kg each I think and dimensions are as follows, 97H x 36W x 37Dcm
I've called up a few places and they have quoted me minimum $400.00 for a one off drop. Ridiculous I know, can anybody suggest a cheaper alternative???
Cheers

You can try removalists... sometimes when they are already taking a load from city to city you can get your things taken as extra cargo. Not sure what the prices are like tho as it was a couple of years ago when I did this.

Australia Post will send upto 20kg for about $20. Just make 2 parcels and send it with regular post with insurance. Will definately cost less than $100 all up.

Yeh. Get the guy to pack em up and organise the postage, you can prepay or COD I think at extra cost.
They'll deliver it to your local post office and send you a nice card saying it's ready for pick up. Then you go down to the post office and show them the card and prove it's you and you get the package/s. As logn as it's under a metre or something it should be sweet.

Yeah Australia Post can ship up to 20 kgs.
Otherwise even try contacting a bus company, like Greyhound or Pioneer or something. I know a friend of mine once got sent a couch through this method.
